BIENVENUE DANS NOTRE ATELIER DE COMPOSITION 315! Cette année, nous allons travailler ensemble dans un laboratoire de composition un peu spécial ouvert à vos besoins, et votre imagination. Vous pouvez utiliser le jeu simulateur de vie des sims 2 EN FRANCAIS si vous avez un bon ordinateur (!) qui marche et raconter des histoires amusantes. Vous pouvez utiliser votre imagination et guidés par le professeur écrire des compositions plus traditionnelles avec une liste de vocabulaire et des liens grammaticaux. En tout cas, nous allons réviser la grammaire ensemble. Je me réjouis de vous lire.
CLASS STRUCTURE
Intensive grammar review We will review grammar intensively since everyone needs that anyway When? on monday and wednesday
Friday composition There will be a friday composition, 2 shorter paragraphs with detailed grammar and vocabulary guidelines, very specific, style, tone, thematic, hyper-linked. You will still submit your own, personal thematic, and vocab list so I may add it to the web site composition 315 vocabulary you should be memorizing to enrich yourselves.
There will be a pop up quiz on your vocab lists soon. Stay alert!
Composition topics:

Rewrite? of course after I code it as usual. Remember I do have office hours and I can help you improve your writing skills. You can also make an appointment. You can also proof each other's compositions like I said you could week 1 in class. I did ask the francophones in the class to assist you in they can and want.
Portfolio? Compositions will go in the portfolio CD as usual and noted on the site.
Another in class composition? There will be a final in class composition to see if students improved basic grammatical skills (with time pressure, limited access to external references/sources, dictionaries, web access, outside help, etc). The CD portfolio will also allow me to judge the overall progress and quality in class.
Final presentation? There will be a presentation of your overall work as a class where you will read/act/present your best composition to the ML students and faculty.
Grades? The grades are easy to read and supposed to be non threatening and encouraging:
